About BayaniGuro
Last updated: July 21, 2026
BayaniGuro — from bayani (hero) and guro (teacher) — is an independent community website built on a simple belief: Filipino teachers do heroic work every day, and they deserve clear, honest, practical information without wading through bureaucratic language or misinformation.
What we do
We publish plain-language guides across four areas: DepEd announcements decoded, step-by-step teaching tutorials, career growth guides from ranking to promotion, and practical tools and templates for the daily grind. Every guide is written for the realities of Philippine classrooms — large classes, limited resources, and paperwork that never sleeps.
What we are not
We are not the Department of Education, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to DepEd or any government agency. We summarize and explain publicly available policies; the official versions always live at deped.gov.ph. When our summary and an official issuance disagree, the issuance wins — and we'd appreciate you telling us so we can fix it.
Editorial approach
The BayaniGuro Editorial Team is composed of Filipino educators and contributors with classroom and school-system experience. Our guides follow three rules: answer the question first, cite the policy behind the practice, and flag anything that changes year to year so you know to verify the current version.
About TeachTrack.app
You'll see us recommend TeachTrack.app, an all-in-one teacher management app for Filipino teachers, throughout the site. We believe good tools give teachers their evenings back — that's the same reason this site exists.
